Unlike learning in school, our tutors provide tailored teaching to students. We use an ‘SCP’ approach:
SYLLABUS: We provide the rationale for the learning. I.e. what the syllabus states the student must know.
CONTENT: Tutors simply and clearly explain concepts.
PRACTISE: By providing exam-style questions to complete in-session and for homework, students will learn to practically apply the content they learn from the syllabus.

Our staff are subject to a rigorous selection process. Tutors must graduate in the top 5% of the state, have scored over 90% in the HSC subject they tutor, and/or be involved in tertiary studies relevant to teaching.

Unlike other tutoring agencies, our tutors are educated on teaching methods that engage students and ensure that the teaching method is tailored to them. Our head coaches actively check in with each tutor to ensure they are managing their students well and utilising the right approach.

Years of tutoring experience from many tutors and access to online databases from esteemed schools has contributed to an extensive database of resources (tips, past exams, questions, etc.). Students of North Shore Tutors will have access to all resources for all subjects.

2. We find the best tutor
Upon receiving your completed form, our team will thoroughly discuss how we can tailor our services to your child. We specialise in various age groups, subjects, and learning abilities.

3. We share the tutor's info
We will then share the tutor’s tutoring biography including their academic achievements, experience, and areas of expertise, giving you the power to choose the perfect tutor for your child.

4. The tutor will make contact
Once you approve the selected tutor, they will reach out to introduce themselves and organise the timing. You pay at the end of the month, no up front fees and no contracts. Full flexibility for you.

Our one-on-one tutors work with students in K–12, covering primary and high school subjects. These include Maths (all levels), English (all levels), Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics), Business, Economics, Legal Studies, and more!

To begin, you fill out our contact form and tell us about your child’s age, learning style, academic performance, and goals. Our team then uses that information to find a suitable tutor.

Our tutors are rigorously screened: they must be top performers, often in the top 5% of the state, have scored very highly in the HSC in the subject they tutor, or be studying at university in a relevant field. Our tutors are trained, certified and coached on an ongoing basis, with access to a plethora of resources.

Yes. We provide tailored support for neurodivergent students (e.g., Autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia). Our approach includes creating a safe space, understanding student needs, building executive functioning skills, and using multimodal strategies.

Rates start from $75/hr + GST
You are free to cancel or change tutors — there’s no long-term contract. Just give us at least 24 hours' notice to cancel without charge.
