Terms and Conditions

1. Cancellations and Rescheduling (24-Hour Policy)

1.1 You may cancel or reschedule a Session without charge by giving the tutor at least 24 hours’ Written Notice before the scheduled start time. Although you may cancel sessions with 24 hours notice, we strongly recommend committing to at least three sessions with new tutors to determine suitability.

1.2 If you provide less than 24 hours’ Written Notice, or do not attend a Session (“no-show”), the full Session fee is payable.

1.3 We may waive the cancellation policy at our discretion in exceptional circumstances; any waiver must be in writing to be effective.

2. Notice of Fee Changes

2.1 We may vary our fees, pricing structure, or billing arrangements by giving you at least four (4) week’s Written Notice prior to the effective date of the change.

3. Fee Inclusions (What the Fee Covers)

3.1 Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the quoted Session fee includes:

a) The delivery of the scheduled Session

b) Reasonable preparation directly connected to that Session (e.g., lesson planning, selection of standard resources, brief post-lesson notes).

c) Travel to the session (if applicable)

d) Two reports each term (start and end of term)

3.2 Marking, communication or questions outside of sessions is not included, unless agreed upon directly with the tutor or if included within the tutoring tier.

4. Payment Terms

4.1 Monthly invoices will be issued within a week of the completion of each month.

4.2 The only accepted payment option is card, which will incur a service fee of 1%

4.3 Invoices cannot be paid by bank transfer

4.4 Invoices must be paid within 21 days of the due date. If they are not paid within 21 days, an additional $15 invoice handling fee will be applied.

5. Email Communications

5.1 By accepting the terms and conditions, you are agreeing to receive email communication such as updates, invoices, pricing changes and promotions.

5.2 By proceeding with a tutoring session with any tutor at North Shore Tutors, you are agreeing with the Terms and Conditions.
