We now service all suburbs in Sydney, with tutors available either in-person or online.

Our one-on-one tutors work with students in K–12, covering primary and high school subjects. These include Maths (all levels), English (all levels), Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics), Business, Economics, Legal Studies, and more!

To begin, you fill out our contact form and tell us about your child’s age, learning style, academic performance, and goals. Our team then uses that information to find the most suited tutor.

Our tutors are rigorously screened: they must be top performers, often in the top 5% of the state, have scored very highly in the HSC in the subject they tutor, or be studying at university in a relevant field. Our tutors are trained, certified and coached on an ongoing basis, with access to a plethora of resources.

Yes. We provide tailored support for neurodivergent students (e.g., Autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia). Our approach includes creating a safe space, understanding student needs, building executive functioning skills, and using multimodal strategies.

Rates start from $75/hr + GST
You are free to cancel or change tutors — there’s no long-term contract. Just give us at least 24 hours' notice to cancel without charge.
About North Shore Tutors
North Shore Tutors was founded in 2017 after many years of collective experience across one-on-one tutoring, small-group programs, online lessons, and teaching in primary, secondary, and tertiary settings. Throughout this work, a consistent issue became clear: families needed meaningful academic support to complement the education system, yet the tutoring industry often lacked consistent quality standards.
North Shore Tutors was established to provide a higher-standard tutoring service across Sydney, with a focus on personalised support that genuinely matches each student. Tutoring should do more than simply “cover content”; it should build understanding, confidence, and long-term momentum. The organisation’s approach begins with a detailed pairing process, carefully considering each student’s goals, learning style, school context, and personality before matching them with an appropriate tutor.
Tutors are selected not only for academic results, but also for character and communication skills. They receive structured training, a Certificate I in Tutoring, and access to a growing bank of high-quality resources drawn from numerous Sydney schools. The organisation emphasises rapport as the foundation of effective learning. When students feel understood, they participate more actively, take intellectual risks, and progress more quickly.
Since its establishment, North Shore Tutors has supported more than 1,500 families across Sydney.
